  1. Sorry if this is bringing up a particularly old thread, but I have been having trouble with my FON.

I can successfully downgrade my FON 2100 to the 0.7.0 r4 firmware, but after I enable SSH the FON loses its internet connection and I cannot install OpenWRT. Anyone have any idea what could be going wrong?

when you bought the fon router what was your frimware

  2. Is there a way to change the IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.250 with out using the webif interface? The reason why i ask is because every time I use the webif interface to change the IP what would happen is that the router will not have an IP address and when I do ipconfig it will prompt the auto configuration IP.

  3. That is why your command is failing, a copy of dnsmasq is already running and controlling the port, you'd need to kill that before starting your version.

My question is how do you kill the process. because when i do ps i will get this

/user/sbin/dnsmasq --dhcp-range=lan,192.168.1.100,192. what i am trying to do is change that dhcp range to something else and i am not sure how to do it. If i try it in webif the client will not get a IP address. I try to set up the dhcp ip 192.168.0.250 did not work with ICS.

  4. I had the fon working wonderful for a little while till i got into this crisis. The problem is when i type in ipconfig in command prompt I will have no Default gateway or DNS. Because of this crisis I can not log into Jasager or ssh to the router. This is what i tried: 1. I went to my local area connection properties then the properties of TCP/IP to manually set up the default gateway, submask and the IP address. When i set it up like this firefox will not open. 2. Next, what i did was I tried anther computer same thing no default gateway the only reason i did that was because I was thinking that the configurations on my netbook was incorrect. This pic i uploaded is a pic of an ipconfig. Sorry for my English.

  5. most likely your Linksys is on the same IP scheme as the fon they both are probably a .1 IP range you will need to change the Linksys IP to something other than a .1 Address range.

He is right you know i had the same problem. my router IP is 192.168.1.1 and the fon was to. The way i fix this problem was disconnect and turn off ICS and wireless. Then type 192.168.1.1/webif then go into networks from there change the IP. I have it set up as 192.168.0.250

  6. The flies are just tmp i believe that they dont stay there. Don't worry i think you are ok after step 11 just keep going if you can connect the fon though the Ethernet you are ok. By the why what firmware version did you get. I am just a noob so i bet some else would have a better answer

  7. I have the same problem. The first thing i tried to bridge the 2 connections (wire and wireless) so I can get internet from my linksys router wireless for the fon so it can share it.(The fon is hooked up by Ethernet) That did not work what would happen is that it would only connect one of the 2 networks. Then i found ICS where all the problems really begins. I have set the fon to a static IP to 192.168.0.1 (I set it like this because i am not sure what is the best ip settings for the fon) my linksys router is 192.168.1.1. When i follow the ICS wiki the fon wouldn't even let me in to jasager anymore. In fact i wasn't even able to see a default gateway anymore. What i am really asking is how can I set the fon to share my wireless internet from my computer. I am really sorry for being such a noob.

  8. I finally got to the flashing process but now i can't see WLAN led. But now i cant see MyPlace this happen right after i reboot from redboot. Also, when i try to open ap51 it gives me a error " This application has failed to start because wpcap.dll was not found."

Edit: if i have the fon connected with a Ethernet i would get this connection has limited or no connectivity so this most mean that i am stall good because this is the step i need to wire it to my computer for ap51 but that program dose not work.

  9. Whatever you do, don't plug it into the internet. This guide should help to get you started, and even if it updates by accident, not all is lost. Using a serial cable, you can access redboot and initiate the process.
