  1. Well, you might as well propose marriage at this point. I mean, if you went this far, chances are shes pregnant and you are now a father.

    LMFAO!

Seriously though, coming up with fucked up excuses has a huge chance of backfiring. If it was a lapse of judgement tell her, you made a mistake, you didn't want anything besides getting laid.

If her feelings get hurt, well, i guess you're now the typical man asshole. Get used to it, we men are assholes, if you're not then you haven't hit puberty yet. Some of us can just suppress it better than others.

  2. i'm kinda sad that i haven't seen much nerdcore. Only about two people, i was expecting more than that :P

That's just to what i currently listen to.. my tastes go through phases.

    And yes, William Shatner ftw.

  3. I wonder if someone was trying to sell it on the black market, and the seller/buyer dropped it out of stupidity. Maybe the data was fake, and purposely put out there as a honeypot sort of deal, or has hidden software meant to do something else.

    I like how you think!

The sad thing is we have to take (government) training at my workplace to try to combat things like this (espionage, sabotage, etc). So it's very well possible that the person was there to deliver the data. People can be easily compromised, especially if they have family. Or if the money amount is high enough.

  4. I can see where both sides are coming from, i was as skeptical as DeGrijze when i started reading this thread. Most companies hate it when you start messing with their hardware/software.

But i think the emails and closet full of routers is sufficient evidence for me.

btw, will there be a coupon code on the FON router episode perhaps? I might hold off on getting one till then.

  5. Personally i don't see this as a big surprise. I work for the government as a contractor and i see retarded stuff like that all the time. People taking government property home, using it for very personal things, or even just stealing it.

Pretty much every morning when i log into my workstation i get bombarded with pop ups pretty much yelling at me that we have to stop the loss of government material, and yet, this stuff still happens.

All i can do is sit back and laugh. I'm surprised we haven't accidentally nuked ourselves.

  6. Just got done watching the show, and i must say i wasn't disappointed! Great job! It's awesome that you're back!

I also like the new set, very sleek!

I just hope the sponsors don't start taking up too much of your air time ;)

  7. The wallet of the security paranoid.

will it hold my inflatable personal protection tiger? He's a killer

Cool wallet though, i'm totally jealous as i just have a normal leather one.

  8. Warioware is fun, especially once you unlock everything. It's fun to play as a group.

Wii Fit is cool as well, i've lost 5 lbs already! and it's only been 2 weeks.

Pretty much all other games have already been covered by other people :P

  9. i remember when you'd drop a can when you died, and weapons were ridiculously expensive. so if someone with an AWP or some other awesome gun would get killed, you'd have a blood bath ensue just trying to get to the can! those were good days.

i think that was beta 2 or somewhere around there. either way, a really long time ago.

now i play TF2 and DoD:S (which isn't as cool as old DoD, but i like the prettier graphics :P)

  10. to expand a bit on my earlier reply..

i think the mouse will be around for quite a while, since it performs as more than just a pointer. and for today's software it's still an integral part for it's usage. but i could see how as companies start pushing other technologies, software will start to support them more. I like my mouse, and i'll hold onto it until it's pried from my cold dead hands.

but what am I gonna do when I wanna change guns in HL2DM

i'd say if you want to still play HL2DM, you'd need a mouse, but i'd imagine new games would support whatever pointing technology will be available. and they'd do it in an intuitive and hassle free way. Or we can atleast hope.

The mouse is the best way to play any FPS

For current games, for sure! but we'll have to see what comes out in the future, and what future games will support. I just hope we never go to gamepads :P

  11. i don't think it's that far out of touch. the article does cover the topic in a fair manner. Both sides of the argument were touched on. Personally i think the mouse will be around for a lot longer than three years, but we have seen an explosion in alternative input systems. The Wii is a great example of how gesturing could be in the future for PC's.

As for the title, any news organization will try to make a short exciting title to grab people's attention. Compared to news in the US, BBC is as unbiased and balanced as they come.

I think it would be cool if we had an interface like in Minority Report.

  12. Then I found a really old version of Microsoft FrontPage and was able to start playing round some more.

Oh gawd help us all! i try to forget that thing exists! they made me use it for a few assignments while i was in school. it generates some of the ugliest source i've ever seen.

Just an FYI I use Crimson for doing as scripting e.g. PHP, JavaScript

and i like crimson editor too, it's quite nice.

  13. Some prefer vi, I hate it. nano ftw!

    *agrees* :P

but dreamweaver isn't bad. that's what i use at work. for simple HTML it's a bit of overkill. if you want to do more, then it's a good start. i haven't really figured everything out for it, but it seems to do some compatibility checking for you for different browsers, etc. which is nice. when dealing with javascript or php, it does seem to be lacking in syntax checking.
