i only found out about it a couple of week ago when a colleague went on a camping weekend, with the side task of finding 5 geocaches in the area. he came back and said he couldnt find any, coz the coordinates were just fields n shit. so i think geocaching is a nice idea, but it's a pain in the arse. my colleague is smart and has only managed to find 2 out of 7 geocaches, so i'm thinking cba tbh.

Yup. Been geocaching since 2004! Fun to do when you have a lot more people to go with. Find a local group in your area and tag along. Cache in trash out events are good places to meet people and find groups to go with.

Go to Geocaching.com and sign up so you search for them in your area.

some peoples cell phones have GPS but they don't even know it. My sisters boyfriend had it in his phone and never knew it had the feature until after his phone broke and he went to get a new one.

I think your just tells you your position. http://www.howardforums.com/archive/topic/725653-1.html but maybe it can be hacked to seek a position? I wouldn't know though.
