Good Bye Rock Band Kickpedal No. 2

Well, damn. My kickpedal for the Rock Band drum set officially broke 5 minutes ago. This is the second one to break within 2.5 months. Damn you EA and your cheap plastic.

We were playing using Hak5Chris's drum pedal... and I felt it sticking, and I think Matt finally broke it. Damn thing was too cheaply made.

Maybe you should have a segment on moding the kick pedal and making it better, like the DDR dance pad from season 1 (or 2 I cant remember) I had the idea to mod it after I broke a friends pedal. havent had the chance to sit down and design anything yet though.

That's actually a great suggestion. Personally I bought a $40 pedal since I just didn't want to spend the time fixing mine, but it's a good option that's ~$25 cheaper.

I cut up an old license plate and screwed it to the 2 broken pieces of the pedal.

Works great :)

I do want a nicer pedal though, perhaps an aftermarket one is in the Technoslut's future ;)

Fixed it last night with a flattened door hinge and some rivets.

Feels a little awkward to use but I guess I'll get used to it.
