Sparda Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 In recent times i havn't been listening to much music, but if any thing it's been Dragonforce. Quote

cooper Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Walls Of Jericho truly rocks my world. For me the best music to listen to while being productive is up-tempo music with a catchy melody and either no vocals, or vocals sung in such a way that no mere mortal is able to reproduce them. AFTER a good hack/code/[generic productivity] session, I find it's great to unwind with some slow(er) progressive metal like Opeth, Textures or Gojira. Bands that excel at creating music that's very complex, and requires you to take the time to relax and calm down to actually hear the intricate song structures inside the chaos. Quote
VilleValoV Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Definately, Dimimu Borgir. Just because its Orchestral(very drematic) And Death Metalness all at the same time. Ither them or The Bled. But after a good hack, i do feel like a gangsta, so some heavy Rap does do the job(old MF DOOM). Quote

Meta Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Here is another great band for hacking music. Machinae Supremacy offers most of their music for free on their site. Check it out. www.machinaesupremacy.com Quote
cooper Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Check it out. www.machinaesupremacy.com Oh yeah, these guys are cool! Leeched their entire site clean some time ago before they had any CDs out (2003? Sheesh. Time flies). This is a Swedish rockband that emphasizes the keyboard a bit, resulting in a bit of a gameplaying like sound. If I had to compare it to anything, it would be the slower songs of Killswitch Engage. Highly recommended. (And I'm *SO* getting that ELITE t-shirt they're selling. Check out the shop) Quote

harrison Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I enjoy King Crimson. Good to listen to when using the computer. As well as old school harlem jazz. Miles and company, etc. Quote
