Esqulax
Can anyone give me a wee bit of advice? Basically i was to install a security camera in my shop, but i want it to be hidden, and not viewable from within ghte shop itself. My idea = mini PC with a DVR card, and ethernet cable, hidden above the roof tiles. Now i dont want a monitor on this (during setup = fine, but generally long term.. Nah) Is there any recomendations as to which remote desktop utility to use? (Oh yes i will catch that SOB whos theiving from me. Oh yes.) Mr Funk
Im sure theres some network attached Webcam's out there. Would that not solve your issue?
Esqulax
Might do. Im looking to hide the camera inside one of those alarm units (PIR?) and most CCTV cams need a coax/DVR card. Ill defintly have a look at net attached webcams
Mr Funk
http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/Search...WELAID=84121391 If you could take something like that apart and mod it into whatever case you want - im think youd be pretty much sorted
ret
Panasonic makes a network enabled camera that also has an SD slot. if network connectivity (or dvr) are not available it will record to SD. Take a look at their security products division.
Swathe
There are few BNC connections that can use ethernet cable and still use te traditional fitting on the camera and dvr card and camera. I did an install at the local zoo using them.
