Swathe
I use the best tool for the job, if Chrome is better than Firefox in my opinion, I'll use it over Firefox. At the end of the day it's just a web browser, and I don't give two hoots about the philosophy behind it. I am also for the best tool for the job, I'm just a little dissapointed is all. digip
Download the source and compile it yourself, it is open source after all.Maybe I need to look into it more, as I like being able to customize my layout, css, turn on/off scripting on a PER site basis, not globally, as well as plugins on a per site basis, user agent spoofing, etc, etc. As far as the EULA, I know you click it to downloa dthe installer, but I still think an installer if canceled should make no changes to a system when it doesn't actually do the install. Instead, they put Google Update in your startup(to update what if you canceled the install?) and attached a process to another peice of software(Internet Explorer). No where in the EULA did I see anything about adding a browser addon to Internet Explorer. I do see the part about Google Update, but if I cancel the install, it should also cancel the google update install and stop it from running(It continues to run in the background after canceling the install, and will start up again after reboot). Something funny: http://www.vitalsecurity.org/2008/09/chrome.html If you can't see the humor in it, then maybe you should look again.
