sablefoxx
Well i am sort of sad to see this happen, i always like how internet tv was always independent of one another, but i also like some of the stuff rev3 has been doing. So i am sad to see the old hak.5 (it will never be the same) go, but i am still very optimistic about the future, however this could also be the beginning of the end. ansichild
With the advertising and audience, it may has well have started out there. I'm sure they've been hankering for new techie content ever since their defunct podcast thebroken stopped releasing new episodes. I was always more entertained by that one, not to say that hak5 isn't informative, it's just not as entertaining. I vote good.
VaKo
Its a fluid situation, and it will be interesting to see how it pans out.
Saxon
I don't know I would like to see this question be asked half way through an at the end of the coming series. If hak5 changed for the worse people will vote with there browsers an not view it I only found hak5 a few months back but it has proven one of the best shows (if not the best) of it's type on the internet. RogueHart
as long as the episodes are still available to download in xvid then i think its a good thing. it saves encoding time for hak5 and it allows them to do 4 episodes a month. even if they cut the regular hour or so show down to 30 min an ep you still have twice as much as before. it makes it easier to do long segments since it can be split up. and according to the live show as long as the person submitting the content does it with a high enough quality there may be some user submitted content which will bring in segments and talent that wasnt in hak5 before. pants123
I think it'll be fine. Revision3 is cool, and extra funding doesn't do any harm.
Famicoman
Watch Hak5 cocktails and read through all this again. http://hak5.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8902 Oh wait, someone deleted the topic, how strange. http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:7yVOB...lient=firefox-a But that link is down too. No bother, http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/347605 About an hour and 23 in is good, but the whole thing is nice.
Snubs
Famicoman, I think we should link to this instead: http://www.hak5.org/backstage/fridays-hak5-live-available We explained IN DETAIL how everythings going down. It's long, but watch it if you havent. We answered tons of behind the scenes questions from viewers. Obviously, I think this is GOOD. We're hopefully gonna reach a wider audience, we're working on some sweet new segments (we have a TON catelogued for this season), and eventually (with enough funding) we'll go HD. We're even discussing bringing stuff back, like LAN parties and trivia. All this for 15-30 minutes per week means you'll have more Hak5 monthly technolust than you did before. We're putting in a lot of hard work for this season!

bamfninja
I do like the sound of added Technolust per month. However, this is somewhat outshined by my dislike of most of the shows on Rev 3. As well I have a deep seated hatred for Kevin Rose. I also worry about the audience this will attract. After seeing the live episode and watching the wall, the only thing I can imagine is that, just on a larger scale (this is with my assumption that the majority of the key audience of Rev 3 are between the ages of 12 and 16 (Only based upon my experiences with Digg (So I could be wrong (I am some of the time)))). Although I am a fairly open minded individual, and can not yet judge upon how this will go down. I hope for the best, but my vote goes to "Don't know yet."
