I have got a WD MyBook 250GB USB external drive which today, has stopped working, in Windows it is saying unrecognized device, does anyone know of a safe way of opening the enclosure so I can plug the drive into another case I have to check if the drive is ok?

Cheers in advance

1. Screwing

2. Take off case

3. Take out drive

4. Insert drive

;)

you have never owned one of these there's no screws

yes there's little tabs you have to press behind the morse code holes that spell out a message, kinda like taking a 360 apart

They spell something out? Is it specific for each one or is it the same for all?

I would guess they're all the same creating different cases for each would be very expensive.
