Okay, I've got a bit more time on my hands now, so I'll explain a bit.

As we all know, there's a big house with cameras all over. Big deal, right?

Well, each of those cameras is motion-activated, and they try to follow the motion. The microphones automatically turn towards the source of the sound as to better record it. The blinds go down or the lights change intensity to better film the scene. And all this happens totally dynamically and automatically based on people being somewhere in a room.

When there are multiple people in close proximity, this gets logged as it might be an interesting conversation/confrontation to be used in the actual show.

All video is shot and stored in real time onto a HUUGE storage matrix. I mean, they have like 25 cameras set up in those places. Imagine how much data they provide on a given day? Multiply that with the duration of the show, that's how much storage they require!

So, shitty show, but tech that makes my mouth water...

That little bit about the technology behind the hidden cameras is pretty interesting. One of the IPTV shows should try and get a tour of a set like that, like Systm, FTS, or (of course) Hak5.

urgh... I watched a part of the first 'everyone bundles into the house for the first day' show yesterday.

urgh. I feel ill. I feel dirty. I feel... you get my view on it right there...

I have never seen such a bunch of... *insert word* people since the last series... in fact, I think these are the worst yet... and who the hell has a guy (apparently) with tourettes on a show that can't have swearing before 9pm?!
