nicatronTg
I was wondering if you could re-program a watch's firmware with new features. Can I take a Timex and change the text? Has anybody tried?
SomeoneE1se
A watch doesn't run firmware or an OS or anything like that it's just chips, circuits or gears that measure time. But then toasters run BSD so...

moonlit
Depends on the watch. If it's a more advanced watch then it'll have some firmware in there somewhere, be it for a TV remote, personal organiser, calculator, whatever. These watches are (in theory at least) moddable. I wouldn't like to say how easy they are to mod but I'd wager fairly difficult. Plain old "I tell the time and nothing more" watches are highly unlikely to be moddable because they are, to the best of my knowledge, just a set of counters and an LCD. tim.vangehugten
Do you mean a Timex Data Link PDA watch?

It is a Timex T5H581, 3 Alarms, stopwatch, Occasion. Do you mean a Timex Data Link PDA watch? No, see above
tim.vangehugten
Then it's indeed impossible like SomeoneE1se said. Intresting is that if it were another model you could modify it. http://www.timex.ca/en/developer/datalink/
