MRGRIM
That link is taking ages to load for me, there is a boat load of Password settings in Group Policy e.g. Requirements, Expiry, Reuse etc
snakey
thanks for the link but i did that and it doesn't have a 30 day option. I need to make it expire in 30 day so that the user must make a new password every 30 days
MRGRIM
Can all be done via Group Policy... Google it Its Under Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Account Polices / Password Policy Edit it and reboot
digip
Start/run then secpol.msc for changing the number of days before changing passwords. edit: also, forgot to tell you, you have to go into user management and turn on the feature to force passwords to expire, as by default they are set to never expire under XP. start/run: lusrmgr.msc then under users, pick the user you want to edit. On the first screen uncheck "Password Never Expires".
