metatron
Someone on another forum that I visit brought up the Gizmondo as they are bringing out a new one according to some sites. This got me thinking, so I had a look around and this device is now around $50 for: Built-in devices: Camera, Display Dimensions (W x D x H): 4.9 in x 1.3 in x 3 in Weight: 4.2 oz OS provided: Microsoft Windows CE .NET Installed RAM: 128 MB Installed ROM: 64 MB Flash Processor: Samsung 400 MHzS3C2440 Input device type: Triggers, 8-way D-pad Audio output type: Speaker(s) Data services: MMS, SMS, WAP Modem: Integrated Wireless cellular modem Cellular enhancement protocol: GPRS Display type: 2.8 in TFT active matrix Color support: 16-bit (64K colors) Bluetooth 1xUSB 1X Headphones 1XSD Memory Card GPS receiver Now you could added a SanDisk 256MB/whatever + Wi-Fi SD card for very little money. I've looked around but no one seems to have bought this device let alone hack it which seems a shame as I think it would make a nice mobile hacking toy. http://reviews.cnet.com/pdas/tiger-telemat....html?tag=specs

insert handle
Damn I want one for so cheap, but: http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2008/01/gizmondo...ing_back-2.html . nothing gets sold in AU anyway... The GP2X (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GP2X) is similar but its probably smarter to buy a DS+Mod chip If anyone can get a gizmondo in AU for about $70(AUD) that would rock.
