InitializeTimer(15, "getArtistBio()");

replace the 15 to what ever

u can do the same for

InitializeTimer(15, "grabMp3()");

just a work around for now - will parameterize it in the next release

what os are u running - while the app is running manually open up your %TEMP% dir and see if the access exist in the plugtmp

It depends on where u want to save u're files - I suggest u modify your default.properties file to point so some common location - that way files will always be saved to a common place.

Other 99 - does tjhat meann your earlier - not recording problems have been solved? I was able to record 6 songs then since then its not saving anything. :cry:

Yeah, I solved it by following iriebs post above. The problem is that pandora_jar is looking for the TEMP directory, but the actual files were getting saved to a TMP directory(TEMP vs TMP). As per iriebs instructions, I typed SET TEMP=%TMP% prior to starting the pandora_jar app. It worked fine after that.

Hey irieb - freaking awesome program here. I really can't say thanks enough.

Just a quick issue - I just created a Last FM account having never used it before. However Last FM seems to be having a problem with the information submitted by Pandoras Jar. My Last FM user page has this message:

Some tracks you submitted have not been added to your profile for the following reason:
Submissions from before the date you registered are not allowed.

Just though I'd let you know, other than that this program is kicking major ass.

thnx for the kudos - about the last.fm - I just tried it myself and got nada - no track or error, I've been using the app for a while and have not experience the problem - i think it' something on their end - i will get and eye on it - i tried it on another app / last.fm n got the same

I just looked through the log file and found this:

Unable to authenticate to last.fm: FAILED Database too busy - try later

should be resolved, soon - i hope...

Must be something with a brand new account or something. We'll see if it starts working in the next couple of days. Last FM is recieving data from the winamp plugin, just not the Pandoras Jar. I'll post an update in a few days if it changes.

Anyway, its a minor issue - still a great program and still living in a firefox tab for me.

i still cant get it to work i dont under stand what you mean by.....

in the same command window u used to open up the application

make sure to lauch pandoras jar from the same command window"

what command window? i open windows explorer goto c:pandora open the jar file, then open firefox and goto http://localhost and still get this error

"localhost connected to server.

unable to rip MP3 unable to find file make sure you have Pandora running in a FIRFOX browser"

Im still habving difficulties too. The TEMP=TMP did not seem to be the issue for me. When i first started the program it managed to record 6 songs butnotyhing since I have a pmtmp file infact 3 of them in my TEMP directory (I instlled the program twice and unintstalled two copies could havthat have something to do with it?

My lateset Log says:

server.server - No enum const class enums.FileType>ICO

any idea what that means?

1) try closing everything down - there could be an multable instances of the app running in the background - maybe just restart u'r system - then start over

this time, do not launch the app by clicking on it.

2) goto start/run type in cmd the cd to u'r pandoras jar dir

3) cd path/to/pandorasJar

4) make cure u have a &TEMP& variable - set %TEMP% - if not set TEMP = %TMP%

5) in the command window type java -jar pandora.jar

this should do the trick......

PS

dont worrry about this error

it is not a big deal - the server will just ignore the request

i uninstalled NOSCRIPT extension i had for firefox, even tho i enabled every of the websites to use java it must have still been interfering somehow cause now it works ;

I finally seem to have got it working. I deleed the plugtmp /-1 and -2 files in temp along with all other elements of the program and reinstalled. This seemed to do the trick.

xp pro.. i checked %TEMP% and found theres a few plugtmp dir's.

"plugtmp" shows nothing in the dir.

"plugtmp-1" has GlobalAudioSwitch.swf in it..

"plugtmp-2" shows nothing in the dir.

"plugtmp-3" shows nothing in the dir.

(Java Virtual Machine Launcher)

Could not find the main class. Program will exit!

I've seen this reported before and the stock reply has always been - "your PC's calendar need to be set correctly"

For those interested - Here's ultimate Pandora / last.fm app.
When I launch pandora jar -- get msg port 80 already in use. How do I free up port 80? Running Windows XP.

Features:

1) Download / save mp3 - /pandora station/artist/album/song.mp3

When launch pandora .jar get msg port 80 already in use. When check localhost in firefox, I see welcome to WAMPS? How do I get rid of other application and free up port 80? Running WinXP.

Followed the instructions.

I launch .jar, see happy message "[ready, let's grab some..."

I launch Firefox, go to http://localhost, and see a blank page with Aphrodite in the title.

So it seems to connect, to the right page, but JavaScript is not quite loaded...

Any idea wassup?

Does anyone know how I can make cruise control be off by default?

I've played with the HTML page a little bit but I can't figure it out....

I only like to get songs I like and I had grabbed about 4-5 but when i went to the download folder there was about 15 and I don't remember which ones I actually grabbed or not

There is an option u can pass into the app to specify an alernate port number:

start: java -jar pandora.jar 8085

launch client : http://localhost:8085

Extreme_One is right - the application takes your system date and uses it as a paramater to add the track to last fm, make sure your system date/time is correct - last.fm may reject the request otherwise

Make sure u have javascript enabled in firefox - looks like the javascript functions are not executing in your browser.

Also make sure u updated the pandoraGrabber.html file with the new swf reference:

from

https://www.pandora.com:443/radio/tuner_6_9_0_3.swf

to

https://www.pandora.com:443/radio/tuner_6_9_0_4.swf

in the pandoraGrabber.html look for this:

&lt;select name="cruiseControl"&gt;

            &lt;option value="off"&gt;off&lt;/option&gt;

            &lt;option selected value="on"&gt;on&lt;/option&gt;

change it to:
