digip Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 IMO cheating is bad, but hacking the game is still ok if just for personal knowledge or proof of concept. I just say do it for the sake of the hack(on your own) but do not abuse it if you figure out something like a flaw or whatever. Use it to learn, but what need is there once you have figured it out other than to be a dick? Also, where is the challenge in cheating with someone elses work? I say, hack it all you want, it's part of the fun. Hell, have fun making it do things it wasn't intended to do, so long as you learn something in the process, but other than that, what is the point of cheating against other players? The skill lies in how you do the hack and if you discovered these things on your own. Otherwise your just a script kiddie with no skills.
