Things that most people don't like. I drive my co-workers nuts with some of the 70's / 80's music. I don't care for metal or rap, but a smattering of anything can be good. It just has to sound good to my ears, that's all.

I'll try and keep the list a bit shorter than some of the above because I couldn't be bothered to read them and I imagine a lot of other people couldn't.

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Aphex Twin, The Beatles, Tom Waits, Belle & Sebastian, Pulp, The Stranglers, Shu-de, Pink Floyd and some others.

Hah, like I can be bothered to read that, Cooper.

You could play a little game with yourself.

Go over the list and count how many of those bands you actually know.

I'm honestly interested in that number. There's a couple of big names in there, but a lot more obscure/acquired taste ones.

Everything. Well, with the odd exception...

I like (to save a huge list of bands)...:

Rock, Pop, (some) Rap, anything with J in the genre (J-Rock, J-Pop etc), punk, classical, emo, 'goth', dance (most sub-genres - trance, hardcore, euro, acid etc), indie, jazz...

...I can't list all the genres, but just about the only thing I really don't like is avant garde... urgh...
