I had to do this when a friend removed the usb drive while it was copying :-x and then wondered why a lot of files were missing :D . Sparda
Does the file that 'is missing' appear in firefox? If so explorer is (more) broken (the it is out of the box).
digip
I am not sure I follow you. You have files on one pc, say your laptop. You copy them to a flash drive. They show up on the flash drive when looked at from the original pc(laptop). You then go to another pc and plug in the same flash drive. The files now do not show up on the flash drive, but when you go back to the other pc and plug it back in, they show up. Am I folling this correctly? Explorer isn't responsible for the file system. Explorer is just a user interface.
Sparda
Explorer isn't responsible for the file system. Explorer is just a user interface. if explorer is choosing or has been told to not show specific files it won't show them non the less. Not quite like a root kit, but the principle is the same. digip
Yes, you follow. And its like the hash is blocked its realy wierd This flash drive, are some of the files stored on a CD partition, like on a U3 drive? And does the otehr PC have anything like Autorun or Autoplay disabled or configured differently?
