hsncorrosion
tell me the best website blocks you can get to block myspace and proxies
manuel
if you are running a linux-based system, Dansguardian or squidguard are your best bet. Otherwise you're stuck with something like cyber patrol.
moonlit
Could just tweak the HOSTS file if you need an instant fix... anything that sits on the machine you're blocking is next to useless though, and that includes so-called net nanny programs. Use a Linux router solution for more effective blocking or remote filtering via a proxy or a very restrictive ISP for even more effective filtering. hsncorrosion
I did a hosts file to block myspace and used naomi to block it via proxies. Works well. I'll get something better soon, dansgaurdian if I can, my school uses that
SmoothCriminal
If you got a spare 20 G's WebSense works well.
VaKo
TBH I would start by blocking everything and working out what you want to allow.
hsncorrosion
Note: Anyone planning to use Naomi Content Filter... DONT! It sucks, It closes the browser on legit sites!
Deveant
tryed blue reefs proxy: Sonar yet? worked well for me in the past though im not sure if they still give out the 30 day eval, but it is a strong proxy, and i was a happy cust :-) allows the normal site, url, file type blocking, but also gives more advanced options like Code blocking (really good to kill of proxy sites).
