hsncorrosion
This is I website I've been working on with some help from the community at 110MB (my web host) It is not quite finished but it does work. The ads are displayed in iFrames because my host disabled hot-linking so javascript was no longer an option. This is a very simple ad website. You just sign up and place your ad and an ad box on your site, then your ad is randomly placed on the site of every current member. I don't have a TLD just yet, but I'm going to if this works out ok. http://hsnads.uni.cc/ Tell me what you think, including the criticism I know all too well here, lol

Tell me what you think, including the criticism I know all too well here, lol Too be honest and I do not want to be rude or mean but the design could use a tad bit of work. I suggest a more professional look, if you need specific help with the design please feel free to PM me.
hsncorrosion
No offense taken I was thinking professional but alot of people I know look for something that looks cool/inviting than professional. My friends told me with my original site they loved the arcade but because it was professional if they were not told it had an arcade they would not have stayed long enough to find out. Why not a modernistic sleek minimalist orange color look. Professional yet not to business like if that is what you are going for?
SomeoneE1se
OMFG... ok first off find the color of the ends of the background images you're using and set the background to that color and use CSS to place the background image in the center it's will hover there if you do it right... and destory the crap loading think, and roating globe thing... what was the thought process behind that one? other then that (and maybe a little more white space) doesn't look half bad

VaKo
The problem is that the actual graphical stage should take just as much effort as the back end code. You need to design it from the start.
hsncorrosion
ok sounds good. makes sense.... How do you like the way the system works itself? oh and I'm going to remove the loading/earth thing now.

hsncorrosion
ok I see your point. It would look very very odd without that image. I'm trying to think up a design that would look good with it and be functional

VaKo
I have no idea what the service is this is offering, but if you spend a month or so working on the design I would be far more inclined to spend time investigating it. Designerstalk.com would be a good place to hang out if you want advice on this, they can be harsh, but if you listen you will learn a lot from them.
