Long load times for making posts

whenever I reply to a topic, and hit the post button at the bottom of the page, it takes forever to load. I asked around on irc, and others had the same problem, and were guessing it was something with the SQL.

there's no sudden influx of people that could cause this much of a difference this fast.  Plus (there was a plus but I have already forgotten it so I'll edit once I remember)

Fixed it:

    $blackList = preg_replace('/#.*$/', '', $blackList);

Needed to be changed to:

    $blackList = preg_replace('/(#|[[).*$/', '', $blackList);

Same issue I think, I need to rebuild the forums sans the mod until I figure it out.
