Nophix
Ok, I'm putting together a server so I can do a local LAN game. As of now, we only play Unreal Tournament GOTY, so my old system work fine. Now, however, we're going to be expanding games and adding HL2, CSS, and COD 2. If I'm running it as a dedicated server, do I really need o pump up the video card? I can get a few really nice systems with plenty of memory, and keeping the low end video card would really keep my costs down. Logic tells me I won't need it, since it isn't actually rendering the game, but I have now idea how some of these games run in the back end. Thanks guys! VaKo
Don't think you need a graphics card for most dedicated server games, integrated or a headless server would work fine.
