DLSS
react os is basically a opensouce os that natively supports windows programs and drivers, and even looks like windows. (untill you see the console 'n stuff) it's a verry interesting project. i'm not sure what it's based upon tho ... (i predict that once it has compiz-fusion it'll blow vista away :P) more info @ http://www.reactos.org
K1u
Cool man! I will wait until a later version to try this. I only run Fedora 7 now and I can run many exes through wine and crossover(great product).

SomeoneE1se
meh not relavent to my point... and that is..... um....windows suck?
VaKo
But your point is moot since windows doesn't actually suck. It may not be right for your needs but that in itself isn't enough to claim it sucks.

digip
So, it runs win32 binaries, then is it vulnerable to the same problems that plague windows? ex: spyware, virii,etc.. Also, does it run things like active-x, direct-x and programs created in Visual Basic?
cooper
It's intended to. It's designed to become a free Windows clone. Think of it as Wine as an OS. They implement the published API in their own way.
