i just recovered from an infection, my laptop got a cold so i fed em some meds form :

AVG Anti-Spyware, Ad-Aware, Spyware Sweeper Trial, CWShredder, ClamWin Free Antivirus in safe mode.

when i got infected the cold removed my shutdown/reboot and run buttons from start and from taskman. it also disabled my regedit.

but i managed to fix those already.. but now everytime i boot up windows, i get this error msg :

If you get hosed by a virus, you can either spend time learning how to pick the crap out of windows and repair the holes (nothing wrong with that in itself, it just takes time). Or, you can just back up, nuke windows and start again with a more robust security model. believe it or not, but its perfectly easy to browse porn on a windows box without issue, but just like going to the dodgey end of town with the strip bars, you need to keep your wits about you and wear a condom.

Simple if you do not want to reinstall.

Pop in your XP disc and goto console -

Type -

 del c:windowssystem32vtutq.dll /y

Hit enter, take out your XP disc and reboot.

It's probably also mentioned in the registry.
