SmoothCriminal Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I have a windows XP Home system that I would like to be able to remote desktop into. Unfortanately XP Home limits remote desktop to only outgoing connections (you can connect to other PC's but cannot connect from a different PC to that PC). Is there anyway of forcing it to allow remote connections to the pc? Thanks BTW I know there are other programs that do the same job as remote desktop (and more efficient at that), but I want to know specifically about MSTSC! Quote
Sparda Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Get XP pro or use x instead. (btw, x is free ;)) Quote
SmoothCriminal Posted August 23, 2007 Author Posted August 23, 2007 XP PRO is not an option, and I would like to stick with mstsc, is there anyway, otherwise I might as well remote into one of my computers on the network and dameware into that. Quote
Sparda Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Xp home is designed to be retarded and limiting at every step of the way. I still don't understand why MS have 20 od versions of Vista. Quote

bmanice Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 to the best of my knowledge, i think pro is the only way... i dont think home is modifiable to do such a task... back up your hard disk(s), install pro.. Quote
SmoothCriminal Posted August 25, 2007 Author Posted August 25, 2007 Thanks anyway, would be a sweet hack (find out a way to uninstall and then reinstall the full version). Its gay because you can dl the full version for free but only for pro or 2000. Quote
