DLSS
hey im now using gizmo (http://www.gizmoproject.com), its kindof a variant of skype , but with better voicequality , a better recording function , u can call up to 100 ppl @ the same time and seems to be ideal for podcasting if u have no budget :D and last but not least it has cheaper prices for calling to lanlines n cellphone's. (from 0.1 cents USD to the usa till 4.6 cents usd to Portugal .) and u get 25 free to use :D. and if u want more credits u can buy extra for $10 or $20 wich u can use for 12 months. ive allready tested it to my homephone and the sound quality is sweet :D . degoba
how much of a memory hog is it? My main beef with skype is how pooly it handles memory. Sometimes it gets so bad I have to reboot my computer.
gbjazzman
My friends and I used to use Gizmo for recording our podcast, but in does have a tendency to glitch up. It was constantly cause the one guy's laptop to crash. It's better than Skype, but it's far from perfect
Darren Kitchen
It works well, no complaints here. It's not as much of a memory hog as skype.
