Portable hard disk protector??

hi all,

can anyone suggest me  a good software to protect my portable hard disk.  For example, to enter a password to view the contents  in it or to open the hard disk, even though it is plugged into different PC's.  I have tested some softwares, but all of them needs to be installed to the computer, and it works in that particular computer only.  But i need something that i can protect it from all the PC's. 

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.  :smile:
