DLSS Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 ok i installed virtualdub (64bit amd version) from a zip file (cos there aint a exe available) ive installed and used it b4 alot on my old 32bit system and it'd used to always auto find all my codecs (cos i use a "legally"! registered version of divx 6.0) but now it cant find the installed codecs , none of em ..... (exept the 4-5 standard one included with the proggy) now how can i get it to find my codecs ? :( Quote
cooper Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Just a thought... Maybe those codecs need to be 64-bit aswell? Quote
cooper Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Well, supposedly the thing's backwards compatible and as such should work with 32-bit apps just as well. However, I don't have a clue how a program like VirtualDub (or any program for that matter) interfaces with a codec, and if this interface allows a graceful path from 64 to 32-bit... Quote
