I recommend you don't.

Your phone is not a music player, it's a phone. Your phone is not a camera, it's a phone. Your phone should sound like a phone, not like a phonograph..

Note: The only possible use of a camera on a phone is to associate a picture with people in the address book.

Well, the camera is useful if you happen to see something you want to take a photo of and you don't happen to carry a camera with you, which most people don't

Does this mean your against things like wifi in phones? It is much easier to surf the net using someone else's connection on a phone because people don't suspect anything. If you pull your laptop out while standing in the middle of the street people think your up to no good. (Yes i have stood in the middle of the street before using my laptop)

Your phone is no longer a phone, if it is marketed as a phone, that's false advertising! xD

That seems like a good way to get hit by a car. That could damage your laptop, too.

It was advertised as a "device", who wouldn't want to buy a mystery "device" unless its a pci card

Funny story about that, I did...

Net10 Nokia 1600

Came with two real tones so I know that it can play them.

I will settle with a midi tone, just as long as I can get one somehow.

I have heard of people using sms to send midi tones with nokia composer?

If anyone know what I'm talking about please tell me how.

simply put, you don't. prepaid cell phone providers intentionally block the ability to transfer ring tones from any services other then their own. Further, SMS doesn't transfer audio, that's MMS, and if your plan/phone is not MMS capable, your out of luck there. Hell, the iPhone isn't even MMS capable.

As for connecting to your computer, it would require a $50 universal cell phone to USB cable (usually comes with transfer software of it's own). Even then, you run the risk of Net10 having blocked this as well.

Get a real cell phone on a contract if you want all the perks. If your issue is that you don't want them having your SSN number, you don't HAVE to give it to them, but you'll have to pay the max deposit (which will be refunded when your contract is up).

as a side note, it's amazing what you find on google when searching for "this is not my cow" :-D
