VaKo
Re-register with a fake American address, or just google one. Sitting in the UK listening to Pandora without issue.
kugelblitz
you can read on the Pandora Blog that it works for US, UK and Canada "While the DMCA provides us a blanket license in the U.S., there is no equivalent in other countries. After a year of work, only the UK and Canada have shown enough progress for us to feel comfortable allowing continued access." http://blog.pandora.com/pandora/ I can't even register

That works indeed. Now how to let Pandora's Jar use it.. :-? [EDIT] I need to know if this is because of dontfilter.us, or it's just Pandora. When Pandora loads I get a message: "We're having unexpected technical difficulties. Our engineers are scrambling to fix things. Please try again later." If this is just Pandora, I might have a fix. :)

The http side of it sometimes blocks me just from going there normally, so don't know if it is them or mys setitngs.
Zoltan
The proxy method won't work for me neither... Neither with a web-based proxysite nor a real proxy server... :-( It's a shame! But I still believe there MUST be a way to bypass the blocking... And I hope that some clever person(s) will find it and publish it!

Here is a german HowTo bypass the Blocking. You'll need Firefox, Tor/Privoxy and FoxyProxy for Firefox. i got that german website translated by google (or any other you want) and followed the steps... there's lots of yadayadayada as intro but i think you can get something useful from there. anyway, i think i missed some configuration from that how to but worked for the first time. Later it don't. then i right clicked the green bulb that stays on systray when you install Tor/Privoxy and clicked change identification each click changes your country randomly, then i changed till got U.S. i couldn't figure how to choose a country. and as an issue, connections to my country's dns became poor. and could not timeshift as you said before Waiting for the clever person. :( {cheers] [aitsugna}
ze_netio
I tried the suggestion from th80 about the german guy and it worked fine to me including the rip feature. I use version 7. 4. 0 beta. The only feature that does not work is to retrieve from last. fm stats. But this feature never worked for me. Any way, we are back again. . . 8-) Thanks. . Mr. Hammer
Here is a german HowTo bypass the Blocking. You'll need Firefox, Tor/Privoxy and FoxyProxy for Firefox. Yeah, I tried to do this (it was really hard to understand from translation) but i have my Firefox FoxyProxy set to Tor but when i go to pandora.com it says "We believe that you are in Germany (your IP address appears to be 85.214.71.55)". When I'm at Default it says "Canada" (which is where I'm from), and when I go to the Proxy name I created.. nothing loads.. as if its disconnected.. What did I do wrong? :-(
Rid02
Has anybody thought about VPN (Virtual Private Network)? I use VPN from home to get into the network of our university so that i can access the university fileservers and surf the web from an IP-address of the subnetwork of our university. Maybe there is an free accessible VPN-Server in the US/UK/Canada? Does anybody know more about that? Sorry, my english is fairly bad, but i hope you are able to understand the idea behind. charakter_baby
Hi, with "TOR" Pandora runs without any probs. But with TOR I get an error message while using Pandoras Jar when opening "http://localhost:8085/". So I can't use Pandoras Jar anymore... Any suggestions or links to that topic for me ? Pichet
I have two questions: 1)Â Are you a Windows user? 2)Â Do you need the "Grab" button to work?
charakter_baby
Hi, Windows XP. Grab Button ? --> whole Pandora.JAR as for the international block would be nice... Without the TOR Proxi I can open "http://localhost:8085/" --> but unfortunately than Pandora.com blocks me. With activated TOR Proxi I get a time out while trying to connect to local host --> BUT Pandora.com works for me --> the Jar won't work... I did my try with Pandora 8.1 ... Hoping for help. Pichet
Hi Charakter_Baby, I got TOR working with a large pool of USA proxies and Pandora's Jar proxy on top of TOR. A pair of Flash Player binaries are installed in FireFox and i had started testing two more which are patched to disguise their real version, etc., but i still can't use the grab button at the end of the day: i can only listen and copy music files manually from the temporary directory. I've based my late efforts on Pandora's Jar v8.1 but there was no joy yet... This is a Linux Live CD module and no one seems ready to take over, even if everything else has been settled anyway. All i can offer is a CD that boots Linux and lets you listen to Pandora; well, ony the Slax module, actually - but it's a piece of cake to add to some regular Slax/NimbleX .ISO image file before you burn it. 8-) Over 250 reads later you'd be the 1st to ask about it, even if i made it fully bilingual since august:
charakter_baby
Hi, I found your Thread, but the Link was removed... Could you be so kind and give me an information where I could get this ? Thanx Greetz
Pichet
Hi, i removed the link because there was zero feedback. Check your personal messages on this board, i'm posting you the link there...
Pichet
Oh, i forgot to tell you: FireFox is in French by default but English is available from the "Outils/Langues" menu item. FlashBlock is another default option so that's why you must click on the three FlashBlock icons during Pandora's web page loading. I'm sure you'll figure out the rest, just look at the animation...  :-)
charakter_baby
Hi, you got a message from me. Unfortunately I've some problems to start Nimblex from my DVD device. I need your support for this. Greetz
