xaero Posted April 27, 2007 Share Posted April 27, 2007 i'm getting a new laptop for school use and i am going to connect to school's wireless lan. . i remmember watching one of hak. 5's episode with harrison saying that using schools internet is not really safe so it isn't reccomended to use it. . how do i encrypt my connection? i step by step guide would be nice coz i'm not good at this kind of stuff. . Nils Posted April 27, 2007 Share Posted April 27, 2007 Hi, I recommend you to set up a VPN, using openVPN (www.openvpn.net). You'll find tons of how-to and doc on the official website. If your school uses a proxy, don't forget to set up your VPN in TCP on port 443 to bypass it and to specify your proxy in the config file. Hope this helps !
