_linoleum_ Posted November 21 Posted November 21 I have an old Tetra that I don't need anymore (I've already upgraded to the Mark VII) & I'd like to install OpenWRT with LuCI on the device. Does anyone have any pointers for setting this up? The Nano & Mark VII is fully supported but not finding anything on the Tetra. I anticipate I'll be ask why I'm doing this. It's because I want to be able to use it like a travel router, but with much better antennas. Quote
dark_pyrro Posted November 21 Posted November 21 There are most likely a bunch of home "routers" that share the same architecture, even the very same CPU. Just browse the OpenWrt table of hardware and you will most likely will find something (or simply Google it). Will it work? No idea, haven't seen anyone converting the Tetra. At least not with specific "howtos". Quote
_linoleum_ Posted November 22 Author Posted November 22 I ran through a few different models that also use the mipsel_74kc chip but no dice. Soft bricked about 4 times. There is a guide for building OpenWRT on OpenWRT but looks like there are more hoops to jump through than I have the time for at the moment. Putting this personal project on hold for the time being.
