DeCePTs Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Hello, I am new to the WiFi Pineapple VII and I am finally trying to get things setup. Finding it to be a little buggy at least with the GUI but I finally got the Wireless Client Mode to work and connected to my home wifi network. I am now able to apparently connect to the internet through it after I set this up. But noticed if I go to the modules and packages setting within the WiFi Pineapple GUI and then select either modules or packages and then select get modules or package listings it comes back with, "Failed to obtain available modules. Please check your internet connectivity settings.". Both say the same, "failed" part. I understand you can sideload but that kind of sucks but at least it is an option. I would like to try and resolve this issue though so it is a little more convenient. If I debug this through google chrome apparently I am getting, "polyfills.b3dbc9b23575ba0a20b3.js:1 GET http://172.16.42.1:1471/api/modules/available 400 (Bad Request)". Both of these messages within the, "" are directly copied. Any help is greatly appreciated! Quote
DeCePTs Posted October 28, 2024 Author Posted October 28, 2024 Also note I can ping out to www.google.com etc. VIA the terminal within the Pineapple GUI. Quote
dark_pyrro Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 What happens if you run wget https://downloads.hak5.org/api/devices/wifipineapplemk7/modules/ from the terminal on the Pineapple? Do you get an "index.html" file? Id so, what's the content of that file? It should be a json formatted response containing info related to available modules. If you get relevant json output, I would probably look for things on the browser side of it all. For example, if you have addons/plugins that blocks certain things. You can also try to connect the Pineapple to another network (as a client), a mobile hotspot or such, just to rule out the possibility that it's the local network that is interfering in some way. It has happened to other users before in some situations. Also make sure you're on the latest firmware. Not that I can remember any release info that is linked to this specific scenario, but it's always good practice to run the latest version. Quote
