Sweepur Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Is there a reason Wifi pineapple tries to impersonate SSID's I have listed in the deny list? It also doesn't seem to want to hide the SSID of the OpenAP... no matter how much I click the button or reboot the thing. It feels like this thing only *sort of* works?
dark_pyrro Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Impersonation is linked to what's in the SSID Impersonation PoolSSID Impersonation Poolhttps://docs.hak5.org/wifi-pineapple/ui-overview/pineap#impersonation The SSID deny list filter just tells what SSIDs that the Pineapple will not allow associations fromhttps://docs.hak5.org/wifi-pineapple/ui-overview/pineap#filtering Regarding hiding the open ESSID; has the devices seen the Open AP before you were hiding it? If so, they will see it after it was hidden as well since they know about it.
