fatibutt23
Turtles are long-lived creatures, so it's important to be aware of any potential health issues that could arise. The most common diseases that affect turtles are respiratory infections, shell rot, and parasites. Respiratory infections are caused by bacteria and viruses, and can be identified by a runny nose, wheezing, and loss of appetite. Shell rot is caused by a fungal or bacterial infection and causes discoloration and soft spots on the shell. Parasites, such as worms, can be identified through physical examination and through fecal tests. It's important to note that even if you keep your turtle in a clean environment, it can still become infected with these common diseases. If you notice any of the above symptoms in your turtle, it's important to take them to a qualified veterinarian as soon as possible to get the proper care and treatment.
