daffy duck Posted January 11 Share Posted January 11 Hello, I ordered an elite rubber ducky pack for France. I paid $80 for delivery and $40 (VAT) tax when ordering. DHL asking me to pay 17€ for customs clearance (this is normal) and 38€ for tax (VAT which I already paid when ordering). I tried to contact hak5 support but couldn't send a message. dark_pyrro Posted January 11 Share Posted January 11 Not sure if Hak5 has an answer to that. You have your invoice that should indicate that tax has been paid. Contact the customs administration (or DHL in this case since they seem to be the one handling the import) and show them the invoice as proof that the taxes are already paid. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
daffy duck Posted January 11 Author Share Posted January 11 I contacted DHL and they told me that the sender (Hak5) should have declared that the VAT had already been paid at the time of shipment, and that now I have to pay the VAT again. That's $80 in shipping costs + about $80 in VAT, so $160 in costs for a product that costs $120. The shop email address is in all conversations that is linked to an order. Just send a message.
