Logitech Combination Keyboard/Mouse incompatibility

I recently received my KeyCroc and immediately plugged in my Logitech MK 710 keyboard and MK 705 mouse. It recorded keystrokes from the keyboard without problem but when I moved the mouse it started typing various characters (mostly ‘m’ without other varying keys). I removed the wireless receiver and plugged it back in and it repeated the same behavior. I’m thinking the KeyCroc is designed only for keyboards but this is a surprising and drastic oversight in design given the prevalence of combination keyboard/mouse on the market. Could it be only isolated to this make/model of mouse and keyboard or is this a design limitation altogether?
