metatron
I use Kaspersky on my mail server and file server. I don’t feel the need to run anything on my Windows boxes. I’ve played around with AVG and it seems to work well.

Painkiller667
Yeah avg as well. Im surprised that avast has so a pick. Last time I tried it, I was really aggrevated by it. When I did a full system scan, when it found a virus, it stopped the scanning progress and showed a window. So if I left the scan overnight, I would have woken up to a window showing a virus, and the scan done only about 15%.
jool
I choose the non existing other option for clamav for scanning the occasional received file.
moonlit
Moved to New Here? because it's a question we get a lot... this seems to have plenty of decent options in the poll too.
SomeoneE1se
where is I'm too 1337 to get a virus?
cooper
I run Linux, so not much need for antivirus there. I'm also responsible for the machines in the direct family, and I equip those with F-Secure. It's nice, and as a real extra to these family members, native language support is pretty decent aswell.

unasoto
Hey cooper what is a good linux live distro that has a windows virus scanner? I'm looking for something so that when I have to go fix my friends comp I can just boot off it and scan the ntfs drive.
SmoothCriminal
spysweeper with antivirus. I got it for free, apparently you can use the same activation key, for as many spysweepers as you want. My friend got it, and now we have the same key running on about 8 computers

I'm not very big on the live distro's, but you can get F-Secure's virusscanner for Linux for free. Same goes for ClamAV and something called Panda Antivirus. So far I've never had any need for these products, so no idea if they're any good.

BasshunterX
Avast Antivirus... It works great, it scans when i want it to and it updates the software and lets me know "Antivirus Database has been updated..." via voice too. I got it free and I dont have to pay for it, its great. I think its expiration is in 1000 days and i can use the keygen to re license it when those 1000 days come up.
