Use my own 5G USB adapter

I have the AsusTek Realtek 8814au chipset and the Alfa MediaTek chipset (both work on Kali 5.16.0-Kali7-amd64) But when I do a scan I'm only getting 2.4 APs.  What do I need to do to get the Pineaplle to recognize/use these adapters?

I am using this adapter/chipset per the docs:

AWUS036ACM

MT7612U

. How do I get the scan to display APs on the 5G band?

Plug it in, set it as the recon device, select 5 GHz (or both) in recon and then start a recon scan. That is for the 7612 last mentioned. Forget about the 8814. If they work in Kali doesn't matter. It's not relevant to the Pineapple.
