remote screen monitoring

black spray paint and a tinfoil hat...

You have to find a way of escalating your user privileges to the level required for either control over the local firewall, or the monitoring software itself. How hard is this? Its entirely dependent on the competence of your schools internal systems support staff. There a posts in the forums that cover ways of doing this, and there is a wiki (hak5.org/wiki). You also may wish to check the AUP/TOC of your schools network and the local law as this may stipulate that this monitoring softwares presence is required for you to be allowed internet access.

my school uses a remote screen monitoring program i would like to know if any knows a way past this, (if you were to make it see a blank screen) or some thing

Ok, ok, I gotta agree with Sparda on this, stupid question, you get caught and your ass is fried. But to at least try to save you from doing something too n00bish, if it's monitored by a teacher or real person, (im in a hurry so i just skimmed over the post) but it sounds like it is. It'd probably be slightly dumb to change it to a blank screen. Think of it this way, whoever sees that may just wonder why the hell the screen is black even though you're on the machine. I don't suggest doing anything to a school network with anyone else in the room. or for that matter, at all.

Look for the square box with all the wires attached. On the back of that thing will be some cords. One will run away from the box over to the wall or some outlet. Follow it to the other end. Unplug it. Fixed.

Yeah, they're not stupid, if the machine's connected but the monitoring software's reporting a problem and there's a member of IT staff on hand, you'll likely have one of them breathing down your neck about 15 seconds after you kill the program.

I hope people realize my comment was sarcasm, as in powering off the machine....

Take the advice from someone who has a little experience with school networks.

DON'T screw with them you can get expelled.

They caught me trying to gain access to the server and threatened to "Nail me to the cross" Lucky for me I was on very good terms with the Sys Admin and he didn't turn me in.

Hackling Lesson #1: Don't fowl in your own nest.

strange, i thought it was "dont get high on your own supply"?

anyway, i wanna be nice, the easiest way to stop the monitoring program, is to un-plug that little blue cable at the back end of ur PC (if its say yellow or red or green or pink ur screwed!!! turn of the PC and run out the door!!!)

of course it depends on the software .. on the c2k all you have to do is log in AFTER the tec. has "taken" controll of everyon elses screan. damn that "the teachear wants your attention" shit. haha they can also remote controll our mouse/kb so i set up my res from the defult 800x600 so the teachers screen goes all scrolly

  • 1 month later...

setup your home computer to look exactly like your school computer, and then record yourself doing what you should do on the computer, and then find a way to make the program see that video, and then you can look at those porn sites with out getting caught.

this might work for oh say a day or two... though I wouldn't really sugest doing this.

Never Will Work unless you have Admin Privelages so you can change the Monitor it see's.

If you want to do this just to see if it will work, not to do something you shouldn't. Just Create a Limited Account on your own PC with the Same Software or Be Real Nice to the Admin and have him/her beside you.
