ShinmaRyuu Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 What are your guys favorite places to get MiniITX gear and info outside of www.mini-itx.com. Looking for a board as the base of a wi-fi enabled linux stereo system if you want to recommend a board. Quote
cooper Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Honestly, I really like the Mini-ITX form factor, as well as the boards themselves. There's something magical about a machine that makes effectively *NO* noise even though it's chugging along nicely. I keep an eye on mini-itx.com for updates on boards and what other people constructed with them. The one thing most of them have in common is that they look good from afar. :P I'm currently keeping a very close eye on the Jetway Mini-ITX boards. They are considerably cheaper than comparable Via boards, plus the place that sells them here also sells expansion boards for them so you can get gigabit networking without sacrificing the PCI slot, or giving up much in terms of used up space. As a case I'm eyeing the Travla C147 19" rackmountable, which holds 2 Mini-ITX boards in a U1 enclosure. Now if only they had better availability of the dual CPU ITX boards... Quote
