Niobe
Does anyone know if the O.MG cable leaves traces or even damage at the laptop or iphone?
_MG_
I suppose that depends on what you mean by "traces" and "damage" and the answers to each comes down to which payloads you supply the cable with.
jholbrookftl
all interactions leave a trace if the person looking knows what to look for.

OMG Cable actually has some great forensics evasion tricks for letting defense teams test their own tools. - self destruct - fully passive keylogging - blind RF triggers - no usb enumeration until the payload delivers Etc. And it allows for quite a bit more stealth compared to most red teaming hardware that can be purchased. But it’s up to the operator to leverage these things. And it’s impossible to leave absolutely zero trace, regardless of what tool you use.
jholbrookftl
it is impressive indeed, I'm finishing my masters in digital forensics and it is amazing what all is left over from activities on the machine.
