How to get a wifi USB adapter for 5GHz, working on wifi pineapple MK7?

I'm trying to get a wifi dongle working on my wifi pineapple mark 7 for 5GHz networks (because I cant get my hands on the 5GHz module and I don't know when or if I'll ever get it).

I know there is a list of supported wifi adapters/dongles and their chipsets (mostly MT7612U) for MK7 but I don't have the supported dongles, so I'm trying to use what I already have.

I'm trying to use AWUS036AC (chipset: rtl8812au) or AWUS036ACS (chipset: rtl8811au). I know there is a packet called kmod-rtl8812au-ct, it makes the pineapple able to see the dongles but is still unable to use them for 5GHz pen-testing.

I know wifi pineapple is based on OpenWRT Linux but I'm not sure how I could compile already existing drivers like ones found on GitHub for my wifi dongles or if it's even possible.

I would be thankful if anyone knows how to solve my issue or give me resources that might help or guide me as I don't know much about it.

Resources I found so far:

(Compiling: https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au/issues/590 )

(rtl8812/11au drivers: https://github.com/greearb/rtl8812AU_8821AU_linux#makefile--for-instance-this-builds-against-recent-openwrt-neo2-platform--your , https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au)
