CyberEagle Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 I dont know how Hak5 did this, but i cant imagine they take down wifipineapple.com and redirect all to the main site just because they created a new product? what should i do with my devices now ? i paid more than 800$ of devices for hak5 will they give me the new device and give them back my old ones ??? it doesn't make any sense !!! i lost trust in this company by choosing capitalism way, so now people will buy "The New Generation ones" after couple of years wont work anymore !!
chrizree Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 There must be a lot of other companies that you've lost trust in then. I haven't received any new iPhone or [add any Android phone brand here] when it has gone EOL after X years of support. What is really holy with wifipineapple.com? It's still up though. I visited the wiki as late as last night.
CyberEagle Posted August 4, 2021 Author Posted August 4, 2021 I dont know if you tried to connect or test "old generation devices" they wont work properly because they are dependent on hak5 API's, answering your question for mobile phones, well technically mobile phone can still be working with companies stop pushing updates yes... but you can still login and do the "old stuff" on your device. Back to here again Hak5 made it impossible to work on the EOL devices which is bad for reputation and trust YES! now i have concerns if i should buy the new generation ! By the way why would my device now be old generation based on what ? hardware specs iam sure they can handle the new gen specs.... now they are waste 😞
Irukandji Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 I've tested my tetra with my phone and I downloaded two modules. It worked.
chrizree Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Agree. I downloaded some modules on my Nano (that I posted about in some other similar thread). It's working without any issues. Both updating the modules list and installing them. Downloading bulletins works as well on the Dashboard.
