WiFi Pineapple Mark VII with other software in place of Alfa AWUS036NHA?

Can the WiFi Pineapple Mark VII be used with Kali for other software like aircrack in place of something like the Alfa AWUS036NHA? Basically if I don't want to use the built in WiFi Pineapple software, can I still use it as wireless NIC with other tools same as I would use the Alfa device?
