RyanVanMass
Today I did a reinstall of CloudC2 and when after copying the device.config for the new C2 Server my Pineapple Nano will not show as online. Any help or guidance would be greatly appropriated
chrizree
If you look inside the newly created device.config file, does the address of the server in the file match the actual server address?
RyanVanMass
@chrizree the original device.config file had the Ip of the server when i re-downloaded the device.config file it had the domain name for the web server, the new device.config works. Any idea why it would work with the domain name and not the server IP?
chrizree
I'm not sure if I understand the question, it all depends on how you start your C2 instance. If you start C2 with a domain name, then the device.config file will be populated with the very same domain name, which in turn is used by the Hak5 device to communicate with the C2 instance. The same if you start C2 with an IP address, then the device-config file will contain the IP address and the device will use that.
