Chromecast Ultra Ethernet power supply for LAN sharing other devices

Pretty much says it all in the title i was wondering why no one else caught onto this idea so far as ive seen corporate or hacker......weird

but my idea would essentially be to make the Chromecast charger with the ethernet port in it a universal plug and play sharing device for whatever you so chose to plug into it that would be feasible and useful

any ideas questions comments
