Aaron Outhier Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 First of all, the unit gets very hot whenever I try to charge it. I don’t think that is supposed to happen. In less than a minute after plugging in, I have to unplug it, because it is uncomfortable to hold. Also, I did manage to charge it up (took me about 20 minutes of plugging and unplugging), and connected it in arming mode to my laptop. Is it normal to receive a SharkJack and have an Nmap log file in the loot folder dated 7 months prior to my purchase? Something seems off here...
Darren Kitchen Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 @Aaron Outhier the nmap log is from QA at time of manufacture. The Shark Jack will get warm, but not HOT. As mentioned in the important safety information and warnings from the documentation: Quote The Shark Jack contains a Lithium-Polymer (LiPo) battery. Never leave near flammable material, liquids or in extreme temperatures as excessive heat, fire, damage and injury can occur. Never leave unattended while charging. Disconnect charger if battery becomes hot. Read all instructions before use. https://docs.hak5.org/hc/en-us/articles/360034129974-Important-Safety-Information-and-Warnings It should only take 5-10 minutes max to fully charge. It does get warm while charging. Disconnect when the charging has completed. During operation, it may get warm but not hot. If this behavior continues please reach out to us. https://shop.hak5.org/contact
