Idk_Man Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 Just curious... Everyone seems to want to crack a clients WiFi password, but to what end? What can be done once you find an access-points WiFi password? I understand that you can use the client WiFi to surf the web anonymously, but what else can be done??
Cap_Sig Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 This is a very simplified and vague explanation but it usually for pen testers it the entry door to a LAN. Depending on how well the WiFi network is deployed it may be a HUGE open hole in the network. There are other things like eavesdropping on the actual WiFi along with other tactics. Just look at it as a door way to possible full network access.
Idk_Man Posted May 16, 2020 Author Posted May 16, 2020 Thanks for the reply Cap_Sig. That was helpful. Gave me a little bit more insight. Anyone else in the future coming across this post, look at learning Metasploit - Kali Linux.
