Testing the security of locked microsoft excel files 2017

Recommended Posts

The plot: An organisation i am related to are (for the moment) keeping sensitive data in "locked microsoft excel 2017 files".

I am not really sure, that is it the best thing to do. My question is; how easy is it to break?

I have tried the old Zip file method, that doesnt work. have also tried office2john /office2hastcat tecniques.

Does any one know of this?

>>http://secuinside.com/archive/2015/2015-1-9.pdf<< (warning it is not https!)  is a pdf about cracking excel files.
