I updated my Tetra to version 2.7.0.
After the update (opkg update) I downloaded openvpn-openssl. After that I tried to connect to my VPN with (openvpn client.ovpn). Did the tetra start flashing yellow and restarted after a while. Someone an idea what I'm doing wrong in the video How to Build an OpenVPN Access Point by Daren it works perfectly. With version 2.5.x everything worked great for me like in the video.

Tried to update to 2.70. Now I cannot get past install the latest Software. It is just in an endless loop. I select the file version and try to upgrade the firmware. It loads the page Upgrade File Verified Successfully then goes back the page to select the firmware file. I have tried loading an earlier version with the same results.

Not sure what else to try other than to load the factory file.

No more than just a expensive toy.

The reaver doesn't work (wps), indicated 1.7 is actually 1.6.5 version, and it worked incorrectly on previous versions

When installing all add-ons, the web server does not work 172.16.42.1:1471, only work SSH.

Do not upgrade via opkg update! after update ur opgrade openwrt, the system is not working properly, you must perform recovery procedures to 2.4.1)

The application (get 1.2) does not download from server, and this is not the first problem

Dear developers, finish your product to a normal state.

Modules are third party, we don't make them - The community does.

Which modules? Specifics are needed to diagnose potential issues.

Doesn't make any sense. Running "opkg update" doesn't update your device... it updates the package lists from the package repositories.

Thanks, I can look into any modules that fail to download soon.

Sounds like you're upgrading from the stager (IE: a new unit)? Screenshots are useful in trying to diagnose issues, but it seems like it could be a caching issue? I'd suggest making a new thread for this.

You post a product with a description that the problems have been fixed, I point out errors in the product, you answer me that these are not your problems, why confuse people?
Have you tried installing the update yourself and working with it?

Any plans to release the sources for building OpenWrt 19.07 for the TETRA?

I would be very interested in a community version of this as well and would be happy to test making changes to my unit to see if I can resolve a few issues that I'm seeing as well.

Is anyone else having problems with the PineAP SSID Pool?

I tried to manually add an AP and it either gave me an error:  "Must be between 1 and 32 characters"  (or something similar), or it said added successfully but the SSID Pool list stayed blank.  Then the unit rebooted.  Turned on Add SSID to Pool option and that triggered a series of successive reboots.  Has anyone else seen this with the recent patch?  I configured everything else and the reboot only triggered with this issue.

This regards upgrading from 2.6.x to version 2.7.0 on the Pineapple Tetra.

Any suggestions?

Same thing here.

Hadn't pulled out the Tetra for several months. Factory reset and then Attempted to flash (from 2.4.2) to 2.7.0.

Hung on "The WiFi Pineapple is still booting..."   Waited about 7 hours - no change.

Unable to factory reset -- did I brick it??

Perform a factory reset.

From what i saw, the problem here is that the libpcap.so.0.8 doesn't exist in /usr/lib/ .  But instead, libpcap.so.1 does.

Reaver manual fix 2.7.0.

in terminal

opkg update

opkg install libpcap

This will do nothing at all but make things worse since this reaver relies on libpcap ran by older versions.  I actually and tried to force install the reaver version added recently by adde88 https://github.com/adde88/openwrt-useful-tools, But that unfortunately didn't work for me too ( double checking later). I don't know how to edit reaver to read libpcap.so.1..im still learning and if you're still interested in this, make a different thread and ill gladly post any fix i find,

Did you try a symbolic link to fool reaver into thinking its using its preferred version of libpcap?

ln -s /usr/lib/libpcap.so /usr/lib/libpcap.so.1.3
#or maybe
ln -s /usr/lib/libpcap.so.1 /usr/lib/libpcap.so.1.3
#or maybe
ln -s /usr/lib/libpcap.so.0.8 /usr/lib/libpcap.so.1.3

Genius! This fixes it:

ln -s /usr/lib/libpcap.so.1.3 /usr/lib/libpcap.so.0.8

I had no idea i could do that. It wont work on the module though (Again, im running the custom version)..that needs a different process. Overall im happy and i can reaver with SSH now. Many thanks!

It does not always work, if different versions implement new features or remove old then things can still break. But sometimes you get lucky.

Sorry i got the link back to front, was working from memory away from kit. Glad your semi sorted though.
